I'm not sure how it's time to write your monthly update again. Didn't I JUST write your six month post? STOP GROWING! I cannot believe that now you're closer to a year than you are closer to a newborn. Where has this time gone? Suddenly I have this little guy who is becoming increasingly independent, who has a definite personality and who makes us laugh on a daily basis. We have so much fun with you. And as you've always been, you're JUST. SO. HAPPY. Even on the days I have to wake you for daycare, do you wake up and cry because you're not ready to be awake? No. You smile at me and immediately start babbling. When you're sick and we know you don't feel well, do you whine? No, you smile and laugh. I don't know how we got so lucky with you but boy do we know we are.
Lately you've been becoming quite the Mommy's boy. More than once you've gotten upset when I've left the room or you couldn't see me. And each night after your bath you cuddle up on my chest and fall asleep. And as you do, you rub my arm or my face and play with my hair. You're incredibly sweet. And it's my favorite part of the day. Now that I'm back at work 40 hours a week, I really miss having Friday's off with you. So now we just have to soak up all we can with you during the week.

As you can see, the list of things you love are much longer than the things you don't. Grams Joy watched you over the weekend and commented about how you really don't cry. You get a bit fussy when you're hungry and that's about all. You're an incredibly pleasant baby and I hope that always continues.
We love you so, so much, Henry. You've made our lives infinitely better. And that face of yours? It's absolutely going to get us in trouble some day. You might be too adorable for your own good.
