After the announcement about my online magazine last week, I can't even begin to explain the outpouring of love and support I received. From people telling me "it's about time", to telling me that they know it'll be a success, I've been overwhelmed and hope I've been able to respond to everyone. I've been working with my focus group to get their feedback on the logo design and so I wanted to go ahead and share it with you all as well. Prior to launch in June, I don't plan to talk too much about the magazine here on the blog (I'll be sharing all the behind the scenes goodies with my email buddies- so feel free to join the list). But I did want to let you all in on the name and the story behind the name.
Holl & Lane is a play on the cross streets of our first home. As someone who has loved to move her entire life and couldn't see really settling in to one place for too long, having our own home feels like a total dream. And having a son to run around the home, and a husband to chase him, is an even bigger dream. At the crossroads of Holl & Lane is where my dreams started to come true. And it's because of this place that I felt ready to take on this next venture.
I'll be adding a link up there in my navigation menu to a page dedicated to the magazine. When it's up and running, that's where you'll be able to find all of the issues of the magazine to read whenever you have time. I can tell you that I've been working my ass off in the last couple weeks. I've had so many conversations with so many people who are excited to contribute to the first issue. I've been designing and crafting and writing and every single minute of it is a dream come true. I cannot wait to share this labor of love with you and to celebrate dreams coming true.
Thank you for your support.
Ps... By the way, I started a Facebook page specifically for the magazine to provide updates and information as we go along. I'd love for you to "like" it.
