I've been thinking a lot about bucket lists recently. I hadn't really given mine much thought until a conversation with B made me stop and think about what it is that I want to do before I die. Unsurprisingly, a lot of my list has to do with moving and travel. I love to travel and see new places. And I love living in new places even more. Whether or not that is feasible for my lifestyle right now, I still dream of all the places I hope to spend at least a year in. I've always felt that there is so much to see in this great big world of ours, so why spend it all living in one place?
This is my bucket list:
+ Go back to Italy: I want to take Henry to the places that B and I went on our honeymoon. And I want to spend more time wandering the streets seeing those things we didn't get to see the first time around. Also, Venice.
+ Write a book: I've mentioned before, but I have three big dreams for my life: write a book, start a magazine, and own an online boutique. I'm on my way to the magazine, so I think next up on my list will be the book.
+ Live in a city by the ocean: Recently I've found myself with the insane desire to live somewhere on the ocean, but somewhere that still has seasons. (My ideal location right now? Boston.) I want to have the ability to go for a stroll on the beach with my boys after dinner during the week. To be able to just go and sit and clear my head.
+ Work for myself: This came about recently when I realized how badly I wanted to start my magazine. I crave the independence of working for myself even though I know that doing it is A LOT of work.
+ Travel all over Europe: There are so many insanely gorgeous places in Europe and I want to visit them all. I want to experience different cultures and figure out what makes them all unique.
+ Live in another country: B and I once talked about moving to London for a few years, and I have to say, that's still big on my list. I would love to live somewhere overseas for five years and have the chance to travel while we're there. Only time will tell...
