In My Makeup Bag

Because I'm nosy, I love finding out what other people have in their closets, their purses, their makeup bags.  So today I thought I'd share what's in MY makeup bag. IMG_7975

From left to right:

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion- I adore this lotion so much that I even got my mom hooked on it.  It leaves my skin feeling super moisturized but not greasy.  And it's not heavy like others.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue- I'm not one for a face full of makeup.  I very rarely wear foundation unless I'm really going out and getting dressed up.  But sometimes I like to even out my skintone.  This has been one of those products that everyone is talking about lately and there's good reason.  It's lightweight, goes on so smooth, stays put and you can't even really feel it.

Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara- B has always been a fan of the Clinique men's line and once they gave him a free sample pack of makeup to give to me.  Clinique mascara was inside and once I tried it, I never went back.  I've tried to go back to mascara that used to be my drugstore favorites but nothing compares.  I use all the different kinds they have, I just happen to have this kind right now.

Damn Good Toner- I did a whole feature on the Damn Good Face Wash line in the premiere issue of Holl & Lane and I wasn't lying about it.  Though I don't use the toner as often as the face wash, I love it.  My skin doesn't feel stiff like it does with some other toners.  The smell is a bit strong at first but it goes away quickly.

Block Island Organics Night Cream- I had been looking for a night cream for a long time and when Block Island reached out and asked me to try it, I was excited.  And it's definitely a winner.  It is incredibly light, goes on so smooth, and makes my skin look brighter in the morning.  It doesn't feel greasy and I don't have to worry about smearing it all over my pillow.  As a side note, I also tried the Block Island Face Wash and I was really impressed.  I have a hard time finding face wash that doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry.  This one left my skin feeling clean and smooth.  If I wasn't so obsessed with the Damn Good line, I would use this.  Instead, I passed it onto B and he really likes it as well.  So that just goes to show that it's family friendly!  (Btw: They don't do animal testing and their formulas are vegan-based.  Let's call that a serious win!)

NYC Bronzer- I think this is technically supposed to just be bronzer but because of the pinkish tones in it, I swirl it all together and use it as a blush.  I love the peachy color that it gives me- it's like a perfect flush that I'd get from working out (if I ever did that).

Damn Good Face Wash- By now I'm not certain that I even need to tell you about this.  Just try it.  The first time I used it it felt strange because the coconut oil stays on your face, but it just feels GOOD.  I actually look forward to washing my face both morning and night.  By the way, it makes taking off my eye makeup a breeze.

Neulash- I use this on occasion when I want my lashes to get a bit longer.  It definitely works! I saw a difference in just a couple weeks.  So much so that I actually stopped using it because my lashes were getting so long!

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer- I like the spongy applicator and that it doesn't put too much on my skin.  It works great for the dark under eye circles.

Covergirl Eyeliner- I've been using this eyeliner for years.  It's so smooth and easy to put on and it comes off easily as well so I'm not taking skin off my eyelids trying to get eyeliner off.
