Massage Envy Facial Giveaway
Over the weekend I was invited by Massage Envy to try out one of their facials. I have never had a facial before so to say I was excited is quite the understatement. I've always had "problem" skin and was excited to talk to someone who might be able to help me figure out how to deal with it. Plus, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. In my head I figured I'd be sitting in a dentist-type chair with a bright light on my face while someone in rubber gloves picked at my face.
In reality? I probably could've fallen asleep if I had wanted to. I was taken into a room that was set up just like their massage rooms. The bed I laid in was heated and oh-so-comfortable. The lights were turned down and the esthetician spoke in a low and soothing voice.
After taking a look (under the very bright light) at my skin, I was given the Clarifying Enzyme Facial which focused on acne treatment and clearing up my skin plus making my overall skintone more even. Tori, my esthetician, explained each step of the process to me as she used several different types of products and techniques. Some of the products made my skin feel very cool and tingly and as she rubbed them in it was like getting a face massage. The only thing I wasn't prepared for that wasn't the most pleasant was the warm steam blowing on my face. But luckily it wasn't for the entire treatment. Tori also took the time to answer my questions, like about if I really need to use toner (Yes, use after cleansing). And she recommended products for my specific issues.
Overall, I highly recommend giving a facial a try, if for no other reason than to hear about what can be done to help your skin, no matter your problem areas. I left Massage Envy feeling relaxed (an hour of "me" time was certainly needed), and with a bag full of samples of Murad products to try out (the Rapid Age Spot & Pigment Lightening Serum is already amazing).
So now, it's your turn! Massage Envy is kind enough to give away a one hour facial to one of you in Pittsburgh's surrounding areas.
Disclosure: I was provided the facial services free of charge, however all opinions remain my own.
