Harrison : 11 Months

Weight: 21.7 lbs (65th percentile)

Dear Harrison,

You can’t POSSIBLY be 11 months already, can you?! Just one short month until we celebrate your ONE YEAR of life on this earth. It feels like you just got here. But then other times, it feels like you’ve always been a part of our family.

This past month has been a roller coaster. We got to celebrate your first Christmas, while also dealing with a serious stomach bug affecting all three of you boys in the house. Needless to say, it wasn’t the best of holidays, but luckily we have a lot more to make up for it.

You now have 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom (your brother was JUST getting his first tooth at this age!) and man are those things sharp. You’re pulling yourself up everywhere (mostly on us), you can stand just fine on your own, you’re walking everywhere with our walker (including up and down our driveway) and you’ve taken a couple of steps. I’m convinced you could actually walk if you wanted to, but you much prefer to be carried.

You still LOVE eating, and lord help us if we let you get hangry. You’ve started pushing your bottles away so I think we’re about done with formula, and I swear you’re eating more “real” food than Henry was at this age.

That smile on you, it’s still charming everyone in sight. (Not to mention those big blue eyes - daycare calls them your heart melting eyes.) I can’t tell you how often we’ll be standing in line at the grocery store and I hear someone behind us chuckle only to turn around and see that you’re smiling and giggling at them. You still do the hilarious cheesy grin, and I think it’s because you know it makes us laugh. You’re very stingy with your kisses but every once in awhile you’ll give me one without warning - they’re every bit as open mouthed and disgusting as Henry’s were at your age, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything. You’ve also gotten a bit more cuddly in the last few weeks and I hope this is a habit that sticks around.

You and Henry are hilarious together right now. You’re really starting to play together and it’s my favorite thing to watch. Plus, you’re just so sweet together. Whenever Henry is upset you crawl over to him and try to make him feel better by putting your head on him or once you got up on your knees and put your hands on his shoulders like you were going to hug him. You guys chase each other around the kitchen and the laughter from both of you is just the best. I sincerely hope that you always have this relationship.
